Yinyoo Tank

ø15.4mm Dynamic Driver

$30~$35
4.0/5.0

The Tank by Yinyoo is a true beast, and so far they are the only earbuds with a huge fun-factor that I had the chance to try. Sure, their clarity isn't as crisp as the classic VE Monk, but the beefy, deep bass compensates for that. These are also the most comfortable earbuds I had used so far!

Pros

  • A sound signature with a huge fun-factor.
  • Some of the best bass responses I've heard so far from earbuds.
  • More comfortable than the usual overused housings.
  • Very high build quality and a super-soft and straight cable.

Cons

  • These earbuds could use some extra brightness and detail in the treble range.
  • The cable has no outer insulation, it's just thin wires twisted around each other. This makes the cable somewhat fragile.
  • No option for an inline remote.

Comfort & Fit

I find earbuds uncomfortable, but these are actually more comfortable than most earbuds I've tried so far. Even the isolation seems to be much better than the hollow overused housings I'm seeing on earbuds nowadays.

Lows / Bass

Amazing bass response with a super-deep bass, especially for earbuds. If you're looking for fun-sounding earphones, especially for contemporary music styles, you've got it right here!

Mids / Vocals

Althought the mids aren't as vivid as the classic VE Monk, it's sure some of the best mids around, at least as far as I've heard. They are clear and upfront, especially if you're using these earbuds with an amplifier. While Monk's mids are on the brighter side, the Tank's mids add some excellent fun-factor in the mix.

The only con here is the relatively lower clarity than Monk (which has been discontinued anyway).

Highs / Treble

The highs are quite gentle, nowhere near harsh or piercing, and offer some of the most comfortable and easy to get used to listening experience. The level of detail is quite impressive, even though there isn't any extraordinary micro-detail, like with many other earbuds. Perfect for general everyday usage and will be highly appreciated by people with sensitive hearing.
