WONSTART iE05

2 × ø6mm Dynamic Drivers

$10~$15
1.0/5.0

I've picked one of WONSTART's most impressive-looking earphones, with magnetic adsorption, which also has a pretty low price. Unfortunately, these earphones' totally dysfunctional bass response has made them unfit to compete on AudioBudget's arena. Stay away from these earphones. WONSTART? Won't buy.

Pros

  • Quite good mids and highs, if we can ignore the lack of lower-mids for a second.
  • Impressive design and interesting build quality, with strong magnetic adsorption.

Cons

  • Underperforming bass response. The bass literaly doesn't exist here.

Comfort & Fit

Just like with most dual-driver earphones with the tilted design, these earphones are extremely comfortable. You get a perfect seal instantly and they won't come out on their own easily.

Lows / Bass

Some of the worst low-end performance I experienced. It's hard to believe that such lack of bass response is even possible to manufacture. Moreover, the bass response doesn't even seem to be consistent. I couldn't capture a single stable curve when it comes to the low frequencies - it's almost as if there's some kind of disturbance inside the earphones that prevent the coils from moving back and forth properly.

Mids / Vocals

Loud and highly emphasized mids. The only issue with them is their lack of warmth, but it's simply resulted by the non-existent lows.

Highs / Treble

The highs are crisp and detailed. Not too overemphasized. It's sad to see how much potential these earphones have with such crisp highs.
