EARSCI ESE-100

ø8.6mm Dynamic Driver

$10~$15
3.0/5.0

First EARSCI earphones I've tried. At first sight, I was expecting a pleasant surprise from these nice looking earphones. But after I listened to them with various music genres - I was disappointed.

Pros

  • The bass response is very nice.
  • Nice looking design and a soft tangle-free cable.

Cons

  • The bass gets distorted sometimes.
  • The mids and highs are not quite accurate.
  • The housing tried to look like ceramic, but it's just a very shiny plastic.

Comfort & Fit

After matching one of the ear tip pairs to my ears, I got a good seal. Not perfect, but good. They are quite comfortable.

Lows / Bass

The bass is warm, punchy and quick, and gets very deep, but also gets distorted sometimes. It couldn't pass a bass quality test without rattling all along the test. Still, better than what most budget earphones can do.

Mids / Vocals

Vocals are clear in simple songs, like pop, very fun to listen to. But it's muffled down to a mess in more complex songs.

Highs / Treble

The treble is unclear. It sounds very mediocre, but it's more than enough for pop and electronic dance music.
